WUI DEFINITIONS:
Interface WUI are housing areas in the vicinity of contiguous vegetation. Housing density is more than 1 housing unit per 40 acres. The area is less than 50 percent vegetated, has at least low housing density, and is within 1.5 miles of an area that is over 75 percent vegetated and over 1,325 acres in size.

Intermix WUI are areas where housing and vegetation intermingle. Housing density is more than 1 housing unit per 40 acres. The area is over 50 percent vegetated.

Vegetation includes forest, shrub, grassland, transitional or wetland; not agriculture.
